“The Cinemagician”. The Magician Paco. Sunday 10th – 12:00. Centro Social Do Mar. 2€
A cinematograph is an apparatus that allows the screening of images creating a sense of movement. A magician is a person who has the ability to achieve extraordinary things with supernatural powers. Both make The Cinemagician, a character capable of turning the cinema into magic.
The magician Paco performs for the first time his new show at the FICBUEU, where he will introduce us to different cinema classics through magic, turning those mythical scenes into an amazing live show. Emotion, laughter and great hope to experience the magic of cinema.
This activity is included in the plan Pontegal of Deputación de Pontevedra.
“Cinematic tales”. Olalla González. Sunday 10th – 18:30. Meeting Point.
Since the origins of filming, literature has been a source of inspiration for numerous cinematic works. In this session, aimed at the family audience, several children’s books that have been adapted into the big screen, such as The Witches (Roald Dahl), Where the Wild Things Are (Maurice Sendak) or The Three Robbers (Tomi Ungerer), will be approached, revealing some of their secrets.
The session will be in charge of Olalla González, a teacher and expert in encouraging reading, as well as in conducting workshops about art and literature. She has published two books in cooperation with the Galician publisher Kalandraka: Garbancito and The Three Billy Goats.
