Tickets and passes for the competitive sections of the 12th Bueu International Short Film Festival (Pontevedra) are already on sale at www.ficbueu.com/entradas. The sessions will cost 2.50 euros per day, while for the five days of the International Section you can buy a weekly pass for 10 euros. Access to the Gala and Closing Party, which includes the award ceremony, will cost 5 euros.
Thus, for the Galicia R Section, which will take place on Saturday 7th September, and for the Spain Section on Sunday 8th, both at 8.30 p.m., independent tickets can be purchased until 4 pm on the given day. Until the 5th of September, the passes to enjoy the 23 films of the International Section will also be sold online. It will take place from Monday 9th to Friday 13th with an identical double showing, at 7.45 pm and 10 pm. From day 6th onwards they will be available in the ticket office of the Centro Social do Mar, where tickets for each day can also be purchased until the screening time if there are still stocks. The Gala and Closing Party will be held on Saturday 14th at 9 pm.
It should be noted that actresses and directors of Galician short films will participate in the Galicia R session to introduce their work and at the end, at 10 pm, they will debate with the public at the Encounter Point, located in the ‘Amalia Domínguez’ Exhibition Hall. Filmmakers, producers and performers from different countries will also present their films at the Centro Social do Mar, in the two daily showings of the International Section. These guests will also be present from Monday to Friday at 9.15 p.m. at the Encounter Point to hold a colloquium with the audience.
On the website of the Bueu International Short Film Festival, tickets for the radio programme Carne cruda, the concert by Enric Montefusco and the monologue by Miguel Lago are also available for 5, 15 and 16 euros respectively. The rest of the activities and films will be free, as is the case of the five sessions of the Panorama Section scheduled from Monday to Friday at 5 pm. For these as well as for the opening ceremony, the meeting with Luis Zahera or the Galician Schools Gala, it will be necessary to withdraw an invitation in the ticket office on the same day.
It will not be necessary to present any type of ticket to access the new FICBUEU screening space: the Museo Massó. On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September the Experimental Section passes will take place there at 4.30 pm and 7.30 pm, while from Tuesday to Friday the Retrospective Section will take place at 8 pm.
In the meantime, the ticket office and the Centro Social do Mar will be open on Friday 6 from 17 to 22.30 hours and on weekends with the same schedule in the afternoon and from 10 to 12.30 hours in the morning. From Monday to Friday the opening will be from 16.30 to 22 hours and on Saturday 14th September will be from 10 to 12.30 hours. At this time you can pick up the invitations, exchange the receipt of the online purchase for tickets or buy tickets that will not be sold online.
