CONVERSATION: TRAUMA AND RECONSTRUCTION. BELIT LAGO E DANIELA URZOLA

MULTIPURPOSE ROOMThis discussion, featuring two professionals, will address trauma and memory following the Holocaust and World War II—the most depicted historical and political events in cinema. Belit Lago and Daniela Urzola will explore various cinematographies that have produced significant films marked by radical desolation and the effort of reconstruction from the post-war period.
Belit Lago is a film critic and programmer for Most, the International Wine Film Festival. She holds a degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Girona and has studied Film Criticism and History at Casa del Cine and ECIB, Animation and Cinema School from Barcelona. She is part of the project Contrazines Feministes, a creative reading club that recovers texts from feminist film theorists.
Daniela Urzola is a film critic, programmer, and researcher. She is a writer for the magazine Caimán Cuadernos de Cine. She completed her Master’s in Film Criticism at ECAM and is currently part of its faculty. She is also a member of the Editorial Board of Revista Mutaciones and part of the programming team for Filmadrid.
