SHOW. THE FAIR OF ILLUSIONS

SATURDAY 20TH FROM 12:00PM TO 1:30PM AND FRON 4:30 PM TO 6PM. OUTSIDE THE CENTRO SOCIAL DO MAR

The origin of cinema is the guiding thread of this artistic installation, an exhibition space in which, through zootropes, praxinoscopes and other inventions, we will discover how moving images originated. 

The fair of illusions is a theatrical installation in the form of a travelling fair of inventions set in the 19th century. The show, organised by the group Errabundo Pelele from Burgos, offers a walk through the history of optical toys and visual illusions that gave rise to the birth of cinema.

The public will be able to enter the installation free of charge to meet the Reynaud family, fairground workers from the past, who will give a guided tour of the exhibition. The company Errabundo Pelele will perform several 15-minute performances of this dramatised show between 12 PM and 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM and 6 PM.
