FILM REVIEWS

With the aim of encouraging reflection and to delve deeper into the films screened, we offer the public attending the screenings of the Official Selection a small notebook with critical analyses of the films included in each session. This publication, which will be distributed in physical and digital format, aims to provide FICBUEU audiences with another point of view in the perception of the films, moving away from subjective opinion and emotion to approach more objectively the artistic proposal of each film.

These texts will be written by Xavier Montoriol, a graduate in Modern Languages and Literatures from the UB, with a Master’s degree in Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Thought from the UPF and in Audiovisual Curatorship from the EQZE. He is co-founder of Muelle5 and writes regularly for other film critics, with texts published in Outskirts, La pala de Walsh and Otros Cines Europa.
