PRAZA DO PUNTO / KNITTER'S SQUARE

In 2024, Ordes Town Council acquired the land of the old Viriato textile factory. More than three hundred women from the town worked there making knitted garments. There is a street in homage to Viriato Lamas, but nothing dedicated to them. We let them tell us what the factory meant to them.
