Bueu, April, 27, 2026 – The Bueu International Film Festival (FICBUEU) is launching an artistic creation contest aimed at children and young people aged 3 to 16. The goal is to find a graphic proposal that will become part of the official image of MINIFIC, the program of activities and screenings intended for the festival’s children, school, and youth audiences.
The 19th edition of FICBUEU will take place from September 4 to 19, 2026, and will have science fiction as the central theme of its Film Conferences. Under this premise, participants must create an original drawing or image inspired by that universe.
Entries must be submitted in vertical A4 or A3 format, in black and white or using a single color. They may be created either physically or digitally, and can consist solely of an image or combine image and text.
A jury appointed by the FICBUEU Association will evaluate originality, creativity, and the connection to the science fiction theme. The decision will be announced before June 10 via the festival’s website and social media channels.
The selected work will become part of the official image of MINIFIC 2026, which may be adapted and combined with other graphic elements of the festival. In addition, its creator will receive a printed copy of their work and two invitations to attend the screening of the “Short Films for Families” section, which closes the MINIFIC program.
The submission period will remain open until Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Entries must be sent to minific@ficbueu.com with a high-resolution image of the work and the participant’s personal details (first name, last name, age, and contact phone number).
The rules can be consulted here.
With this initiative, FICBUEU continues to promote the active participation of younger audiences, encouraging creativity and a connection with cinema from an early age.
